words of advice to my brothers

realfakescientist:

please, don’t blame it on our sisters in islam. she is responsible for her own modesty? yes. as are you for your gaze.

however, you are responsible for your modesty as well…and she is responsible for her gaze. don’t get it twisted. muslim women specifically, and women in general, have the same desires as men, believe it or not! trust me, science says so; how do I know? well, I’m a scientist! wallahi habibro, I am!

in conclusion, it’s a two way street, as it is with everything else. if you are going to “advice” then know, that it works the other way. also, you are responsible for your modesty and your gaze, as is she, for she has the same desires as you.

can we please stop the double standards and sexism?

trust me, I’m a doctor (but not the kind that helps people as my mother likes to say). that is all.

For those men so eager to lecture to Muslim women about their modesty.
